Project Overview
3D Animation & Rendering for Bosch Venting Cooktop Feature Films – Schokolade Filmproduktion.
Created high-end 3D animation and photorealistic renders for BSH/Bosch venting cooktop promotional films (Series 8 and extensions to prior Main Line / Accent Line versions).
Worked with complex kitchen environments in 3ds Max (Corona renderer), adapting and enhancing existing client models, adding new cooktop features, steam simulations coordination, and delivering multiple output formats (16:9, 9:16, 1:1).
Key contributions included preparing shots from storyboards/animatics, optimizing scenes for efficient rendering, producing stills for client approval, and completing full animation sequences under tight deadlines (typically 3–5 days core effort plus rendering). Collaborated closely with the Schokolade team (producers, animators, compositors) via Slack/Dropbox to ensure seamless integration and brand-accurate visuals.
Result: Polished, client-approved promotional content highlighting product features in realistic kitchen settings.
Fun fact: I managed to discover a bug in Corona Render that created some wobbly lighting effects, which was rapidly fixed by the lovely people at Chaos Group.
