Project Overview
In the summer of 2025 I worked with @thieveskitchen on a super-cool project for SAP — I built a bunch of Unreal sets for real-time virtual production LED volume setups.
Basically creating fully immersive, photoreal digital filming locations that run live on massive LED walls.
Quick breakdown for anyone curious: Unreal Engine cranks out insane real-time visuals (lighting, materials, environments—all rendering instantly).
Virtual production replaces traditional green screens with huge LED panels displaying the Unreal scene right behind the set and actors.
Camera tracking syncs everything live, so parallax, reflections, and interactive lighting feel 100% natural. Way faster shoots, better performance from actors, and straight-up cinematic results in-camera.
